THREE drug personalities fell in a drug buy-bust operation launched by the combined Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives in Cebu City on Thursday evening.
PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar identified one of the suspects as alias Levon.
Citing reports from the PNP Drug Enforcement Group, PGen. Eleazar said that the joint operating units of PNP DEG (lead), SOU 7 Central Visayas, RID7 CIU, CCPO CIDG7, RPDEU, PDEA RO7, HPG7 and CMFC encountered Levon and his two unidentified male cohorts during a drug buy-bust operation at Brgy. Campo 4, Talisay City and Brgy. Tap Tap, Cebu City around 9:00 pm of June 10, 2021, which resulted to an armed confrontation.
Recovered at the crime scene were 10 large packs containing suspected shabu weighing around 10 kilos with estimated standard drug price of P68 million; one black traveling bag; one silver Toyota Vios, one long and two short firearms.
The confiscated items were submitted to PNP DEG SOU 7 Office for documentation and proper disposition.
“The Philippine National Police remains steadfast, under the PNP Intensified Cleanliness Policy, in fighting the bigger war on illegal drugs without let-up. The PNP offers no compromise for anyone found to be involved in illegal drug activities. We remain constantly working with PDEA to crush the real enemy,” PGen. Eleazar said.
