Solon, 2 other House employees tested positive for COVID-19

Another lawmaker and two employees in the House of Representatives have contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Secretary-General Luis Jose Luis Montales said on Sunday.

Montales said Sorsogon 2nd District Rep. Ditas Ramos was tested for COVID-19 while in her home province.

“We received word that Congw. Ditas Ramos (2nd District, Sorsogon) has tested positive for COVID-19.  She developed symptoms and got tested in the province. Let’s pray for the speedy and complete recovery of our confirmed cases,” Montales said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the infected two employees are from the Finance Department and Committee on Legislative Franchises. The first employee last reported for work on September 1 and fell ill after attending to her son whom we reported earlier as a confirmed case.  The second last reported for work on August 10.

The new cases bring the total number of infection cases in the House of Representatives to 68.
