Cinemas are now open since October 14 to areas under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
Some of these are SM branches in Angono, Bacoor, Baguio, Baliuag, Cabanatuan, Calamba, Cauayan, CDO Downtown, Dasmariñas, Davao, Lanang, Legazpi, Lucena, Marilao, Masinag, Molino, Naga, Olongapo Central, Pampanga, Rosales, San Jose, San Mateo, San Pablo, Santa Rosa, Tarlac, Taytay, Telabastagan and Trece Martirez .
For safety procedures following IATF protocols and guidelines, all patrons need to wear face masks and face shields. A seat gap policy will be enforced and there will be fewer screenings daily for mandatory intensive sanitation of the theaters and high-touch surfaces with alcohol and sanitizer in the cinema premises.
SM Cinema is also encouraging a cashless transaction by booking tickets in advance through the website and mobile app as well as by using touch-free payment methods. A contact tracing program is also in place through scanning the QR code found in the cinema lobby.
Film enthusiasts can now enjoy and watch the much-awaited films like Break the Silence: The Movie, the latest film from global K-Pop superstars BTS; as well as Digimon, an anime film from Japan, Train to Busan Peninsula and My Spy.
