Six PMA Cadets to undergo international training in Australia and South Korea

THE Philippine Military Academy (PMA) is sending six members of the Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines (CCAFP) to participate in foreign military training programs for four years.

In a statement released Wednesday, the PMA announced that three cadets will be joining the Australian Defense Force Academy (ADFA) starting January 11, 2025. These cadets are:

Cadet 3rd Class Simon Francis Dauz

Cadet 3rd Class Ruth Taccad

Cadet 3rd Class Sofia Jeane Castala

Meanwhile, three other cadets will head to the Republic of Korea Military Academy (RKM) on February 3, 2025. They are:

Cadet 4th Class Sophiah Nissi Abdulgani

Cadet 4th Class Kim Alejandro Ganew

Cadet 4th Class Jermagne Cahlil Alejo

The PMA highlighted the rigorous screening process that all six cadets underwent prior to their selection. Final interviews were conducted on September 23 and October 29, 2024, for the ADFA and RKM programs, respectively.

“The cadets are set to embark on academic and physical training at the academy of their choice. This opportunity will enhance their knowledge and leadership skills while fostering international military cooperation,” the PMA stated.

These international training programs aim to provide Filipino cadets with global exposure, advanced education, and practical military experience, further strengthening the ties between the Philippines and its allied nations.
