NO less than Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar welcomed the move to simplify the process for all uniformed personnel in claiming benefits due them and their families.

The PNP welcomes this development.

An inter-agency task force, led by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), was created with the different uniformed services as members to streamline the process of claims and other entitlements of uniformed personnel and their legal beneficiaries.

The task force aims to automate death benefit claims and set up one-stop shops in different regions and localities.

According to PGen. Eleazar, the PNP has started its own initiatives in ensuring a fast pace for releasing benefits due to police personnel and their families.

PGen. Eleazar said.

Last March, President Duterte tasked the National Police Commission to ensure that the kin of deceased cops no longer have to undergo a tedious process when it comes to claiming benefits.
