CAMP VICENTE LIM, CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA–A couple was involved in a road accident in Antipolo City, Rizal yesterday afternoon.
Antipolo Police identified the victims as Welouvie Flores Manay and his wife, Arlen Regenio Manay.
The two were crossing the street when they were hit by an approaching taxi driven by Wilfredo Vergara.
The impact was so strong that Welouvie got thrown off to the opposite side of the road, where he was again hit by another vehicle driven by Benedicto Nitura.
The wife, meanwhile, was seriously wounded.
Rescuers brought Arlen to Amang Rodriguez Hospital in Marikina City for treatment while Welouie was brought to the Antipolo District Hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigation on the said incident is still ongoing.
