PNP marks 120th year of police service

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) marked on Thursday its 120th anniversary in the police service at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The ceremonies were held virtually and streamed live to the different police regional and provincial offices as well as police stations across the country, according to a PNP statement.

PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar stated that this year’s celebration was focused on the aspirations of the organization in promoting integrity and cleanliness. 

The true measure of public service is the appreciation, the trust, the confidence and the respect of the people we serve,” he emphasized.

He also added that he made sure that the anniversary’s true spirit is to understand and celebrate that the police personnel in the various parts of the Philippines are the frontliners of the police service. 

In PGen. Eleazar’s message, he shared the PNP’s police operational achievements and good deeds of their officers. Meanwhile, units and personnel of the PNP received awards for outstanding performance and accomplishments. 

President Rodrigo Duterte and Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary. Eduardo Año gave messages at the event.
