PHL condoles with UAE on the passing of its president

THE Philippine government extended its condolences to the government of the United Arab Emirates on the passing of its president.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sent its sympathies to the government of the UAE with the death of its president, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The DFA praised the 18-year leadership of Sheikh Khalifa, who became his country’s leader in 2004, and his legacy of being the anchor that made the UAE a global economic powerhouse.

It said Sheikh Khalifa also ensured a great future for the next generation of citizens of his country.

Sheikh Khalifa was 73 years old at the time of his death.
