FROM a high of 16, the number of countries in the Philippines’ “Red” list was trimmed down to only eight countries.

Among the eight countries, which continue to experience an increase in COVID-19 cases, are Andorra, Northern Mariana Islands, South Africa, France, Reunion (a region of France), Switzerland, Monaco and San Marino.

The updated list is effective starting tomorrow, December 16 up to December 31, 2021.

This means all travelers from these countries will not be allowed to enter the Philippines, except for Filipinos included in the Bayanihan flights, and government and non government-initiated repatriation flights.

There are now 41 countries under the Green list, while the rest are under the Yellow list of countries.
