TWO suspected drug personalities, one allegedly a member of the “Pajarito Criminal Group” were arrested after more than P.3 million worth of illegal drugs were found in their possession in separate police anti-drug operations in Caloocan City.
According to Caloocan police chief Samuel Mina Jr, operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) received information from a regular confidential informant that Joseph Rivas, 28 years old, was selling illegal drugs, which underwent a one-week validation process.
Once the information was tagged positive, SDEU operatives immediately mounted a buy-bust operation under PLt. Gilmer Marinas, together with operatives from Sub Station 5 and the 6th MFC RMFB-NCRPO at the suspect’s house along 258 Jerusalem Street, Brgy. 150, Caloocan City at 10:30 p.m., that resulted in the arrest of Rivas.
Recovered from the suspect was an estimated 1,750 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves with a standard drug price of P210,000, plus 60 grams of kush or high-grade marijuana worth around P120,000, buy-bust money composed of a genuine P1,000 bill and nine pieces of P1,000 boodle money and a blue eco bag.
At around 12:30 am, operatives from the Caloocan Police Intelligence Section conducted an operation at Phase 1, Pkg 3, Brgy. 176, Bagong Silang against the “Pajarito Criminal Group” that resulted in the arrest of one of its members identified as Jerico Gose alias “Intsik.”
A medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet that contains about 5.6 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P38,080 was confiscated from Gose.
The suspects now face violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.
