The Presidential Anti- Corruption Commission (PACC) is now reinvestigating the “for sale promotion” scheme in the Department of Education (DepEd) Central Luzon regional office after receiving information that the said modus is once again offered to teachers who want to be promoted.
This was confirmed by PACC chairman Greco Belgica during a meet-and-greet virtual meeting with Bulacan-based reporters on Monday afternoon, which was facilitated by Rommel Ramos, newly assigned Public Information Officer of the PACC.
Belgica told Bulacan newsmen that they have received complaints against a certain Allan Alba for facilitating a promotion for sale scheme at the DepEd regional office in Central Luzon.
He recalled that in 2018, Alba was an official at the Region 3 DepEd office and was investigated for the promotion for sale anomalies in the province of Bulacan.
Belgica recalled that eventually, Alba was found guilty and terminated from his DepEd position.
As of now, the PACC is working on validating Alba’s again anomalous transactions with the DepEd regional office in Central Luzon regarding the facilitation on the promotion for sale scheme., the PACC chairman noted.
He appealed to the media and the public to help stop this kind of anomalous transaction at the education department.
Belgica believed that the participation and collaboration of the media is very important in their campaign where the present administration through the leadership of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wanted to strengthen the fight against corruption.
“Hnihiling po namin na magtulungan tayo at nais namin kayo maging kasangga na labanan at sugpuin ang corruption sa bansa,” he ended.
