Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives nabbed a Chinese drug suspect and seized P102-M worth of prohibited drugs in Malate, Manila on Monday afternoon.

Chen Zhinzun/Yu Sison Tabuen “a.k.a” Ryan/ Chen, a Chinese national, was arrested in the anti-illegal drug operation.

PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar said joint elements of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit National Capital Region (PNP-DEG SOU NCR), PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (RO-NCR) Southern District Office together with PDEA National Capital Region-Regional Special Enforcement Teams (NCR-RSETs) 1 & 2, PDEA Special Enforcement Service (PDEA-SES), PDEA Intelligence and Investigation Service (PDEA-IIS), Armed Forces of the Philippines Task Force Noah (AFP TF NOAH), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), National Capital Region Police Office-Regional Intelligence Division (NCRPO-RID), Manila Police District-District Intelligence Division (MPD-DID), Manila Police District-District Drug Enforcement Unit (MPD-DDEU) and Manila City Hall Special Mayor’s Reaction Team (SMaRT) served a search warrant with No. 21-31389 for violations of RA 9165, issued by 2nd Vice Executive Judge Carolina Icasiano-Sison of RTC Branch 18, Manila, against the suspect at 12:20 p.m. on June 21, 2021 at Unit 1605, Royal Plaza Twin Tower, Remedios St., Malate, Manila that also resulted to the seizure of 15 kilograms of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride commonly known as Shabu estimated to be worth P102 million in the illicit drug market.

Eleazar said that the suspect is a Chinese national and a well-known distributor of illegal drugs within NCR and other nearby regions. He was recently arrested in a buy-bust operation on June 13, 2021 at S&R parking lot, Paranaque City.

This is another stern warning to all foreign nationals who are into illegal drugs, we shall not rest until all of you are placed behind bars.” Eleazar said.
