THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said they were able to successfully repatriate more than 200 Filipino workers from Kuwait.

This is due, it said, to the combined efforts of the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (OUMWA) and the Philippine embassy in Kuwait, who were able to successfully bring back to the Philippines around 240 Filipino workers.

The repatriation flight from Kuwait arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 via Kuwait Airways flight KU 417.

Upon arrival, the repatriates were assisted by DFA personnel, including members of the NAIA One-Stop Shop.

The repatriates then underwent appropriate health and medical protocols based on the latest IATF resolution.

The DFA continues on its efforts to ensure that distressed Filipino workers around the world will be able to come home to their families.
