THE National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) announced that the COVID-19 vaccine deployment in local government units (LGUs) will be allowed to extend up to December 3, 2021.
This is upon the request for voluntary extension among LGUs.
The NVOC said it received requests from several LGUs to extend the National COVID-19 Vaccination Days as large numbers of people seeking to be vaccinated continue to flock in vaccination sites.
The advisory also contains guidelines to guide the Regional/Local Vaccination Operations Centers (R/LVOCs), Implementing Units and Vaccination Sites, on the extension of the Bayanihan, Bakunahan National COVID-19 Vaccination Days.
The LGUs are asked to inform the Centers for Health Development on their willingness to extend the Bayanihan, Bakunahan in their areas by 12 noon today, December 2, 2021.
The RVOCs are also directed to facilitate augmentation of resources and provision of technical support, and ensure allocation and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and other ancillaries to the LGUs who will extend vaccination until December 3, 2021.
The RVOCs and LVOCs and implementing units are also instructed to disseminate this advisory.
