Kasong administratibo ang isinampa ng PNP-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) laban sa siyam na pulis na nasangkot sa pagpaslang sa apat na army intel officers sa Jolo, Sulu nitong nakalipas na Hunyo 2020.
Bukod sa siyam na pulis-Jolo, kasama din sa sinampahan ng kaparehong reklamo ang tatlong police commanders.
“The PNP Internal Affairs Service has formally filed admin cases against nine PNP personnel who are respondents in a criminal case for murder and planting of evidence filed by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) before the Department of Justice (DOJ) in connection with the death of the four Philippine Army personnel in Jolo, Sulu last June 29, 2020,” pahayag ni Police Gen. Camilo Cascolan sa kanyang kauna unahang press briefing bilang chief PNP sa Camp Crame araw ng Lunes.
Ang siyam na pulis ay kasalukuyang nasa ilalim ng restrictive custody ng Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) sa Camp Crame at sila ay nakilalang sina Senior Master Sgt. Abdelzhimar Padjiri, Master Sgt. Hannie Baddiri, Staff Sgts. Iskandar Susulan and Erniskar Sappal, at Cpl. Sulki Andaki, at Pat. Moh Nur Pasani ng Jolo Municipal Police Station, at Staff Sgt. Almudzrin Hadjaruddin at Patrolmen Alkajal Mandangan at Rajiv Putalan ng Drug Enforcement Unit-Sulu police.
“Aside from the six police non-commissioned officers of Jolo Municipal Police Station and the three members of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Jolo Provincial Police Office, IAS also filed admin cases against three police commissioned officers who are direct superiors of the nine respondents for gross neglect of duty under the doctrine of command responsibility,” ani Cascolan.
Nakilala din ang tatlong police commanders na una ng sinibak sa pwesto sina Col. Michael Bawayan, provincial director ng Sulu Provincial Police Office, Maj. Walter Annayo, chief of Jolo Municipal Police Station, at Capt. Ariel Corsino, hepe ng Drug Enforcement Unit ng Sulu police.
“I am giving the Internal Affairs Service the freehand in exercising its mandate to determine the administrative liability of these personnel and to impose the appropriate penalty as prescribed under PNP regulations,” ani pa ni Cascolan.
Ang apat na napaslang na army intel officers ay galing sa isang misyon para tiktikan ang dalawang suicide bombers ng sila ay harangin ng mga pulis sa kabila ng pagpapakilala na mga miyembro sila ng Philippine Army.
Dooy pinapapunta sila ng mga pulis sa kanilang stasyon para umano sa pag beripika sa kanilang pagkakakilanlan.
Una ng dumipensa ang mga pulis na tumakas umano ang mga biktima habang nakatutok ang kanilang mga armas sa kanilang direksyon na dahilan ng engkwentro.
Pinabulaanan naman ang pahayag ng mga pulis ni dating Army commander at ngayoy AFP Chief of Staff General Gilbert Gapay at iginiit na murder ang nangyaring shootout.
