Housing project for 9,000 FAB workers to rise in Mariveles

THE 1Bataan Housing Showroom, a housing project for workers inside the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) and informal settlers in Mariveles, Bataan, was blessed and opened recently.

The 1Bataan Housing Showroom will house the designs of housing units to be built on a 13.7-hectare land allocated for the township project for more than 9,000 FAB workers, according to Bataan Governor Joet Garcia, who led the blessing and opening of the showroom on his first day in office as the province’s Chief Executive.

The governor also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Provincial Government of Bataan, Pag-IBIG Fund and Treehouse Properties and Development Corporation for the loan program of Casa Valencia, a housing project to be built for government workers in Balanga City.

Also signed was the MOU between the Bataan provincial government and Pag-IBIG for the 1Bataan Village Township Program in Mariveles.

Aside from Gov. Garcia, also present were Bataan 2nd District Rep. Abet Garcia, Bataan 3rd District Representative Gila Garcia, Pusong Pinoy Partylist Rep. Jett Nisay, Bataan Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion; Philip Keith, Vice President of Home Lending Operations Luzon Group; Engr. Maximillian Quintos, President of Metro Stonerich Corporation;

AFAB Administrator Engr. Emmanuel Pineda, Architect Henry Mayuga, and members of the Coalition of Labor Unions in Bataan were also in attendance.

We believe that the provision of housing programs is a big step to strengthen the livelihood of every family that will lead us to a more prosperous future,” Gov. Joet Garcia said.
