A fire broke out early Saturday in Barangay 177, Malibay, Pasay City, killing four people and injuring two others.
According to reports, around ten houses were destroyed. The victims, aged 40, 34, 14, and 7, were trapped inside their home when the fire started around 4:00 AM, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Firefighters raised the alarm to the third level as the blaze spread quickly through a row of houses along Esteban Street near the creek. The fire was brought under control by 6:55 AM and declared fully extinguished at 7:23 AM.
Responders faced difficulties due to the narrow roads in the area. The affected houses, made of light materials, contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze and assessing the total damage.
