Foundever®, a global leader in customer experience solutions, recently brought associates together for a meaningful activity that combined fitness, fun, and philanthropy. The company’s Baguio site hosted the “Paws for a Cause” charity fun run, an event dedicated to supporting Furvent Animal Rescue and Advocacy, a local nonprofit committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abandoned and neglected cats and dogs.
The fun run, part of the company’s EverBetter employee wellness program, gathered the enthusiastic participation of 172 Foundever associates. Beyond encouraging physical activity, the event served as an avenue for employees to give back to the community. Participants who joined earned EverBetter points through the company’s internal rewards system, which were then converted into monetary donations to support Furvent’s programs for animal welfare.
In addition to raising funds, Foundever Baguio extended its support by donating over PHP16,000 worth of essential items to the shelter. These included 8 sacks of 10-kilogram dog food, 12 bags of 1-kilogram detergent, 7 gallons of Zonrox, 12 Vitamin C supplements, and 18 hypoallergenic soaps. These contributions were aimed at addressing the immediate daily needs of Furvent’s shelter animals.
Vida Haboc, Senior Director of Operations for Foundever Baguio, emphasized the importance of combining employee engagement with social responsibility. “This event is a perfect example of how we can merge associate engagement with purpose-driven advocacy. Our team in Baguio showed that wellness, fun, and philanthropy can all go hand in hand,” according to Haboc.
The fun run featured three categories — 5K, 8K, and 10K — allowing participants of different fitness levels to join and contribute to the cause. The inclusive setup fostered camaraderie among associates, while reinforcing Foundever’s culture of collaboration and its commitment to holistic employee wellness.
