THE Department of Agriculture (DA) said the food crisis will be felt during the last few months of the year.
During the Laging Handa public briefing, DA Secretary William Dar clarified that although the world is already experiencing a food crisis, this will be felt in the country during the last quarter of the year due to the continued effects of the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.
According to Dar, among the measures to be implemented by the national government to mitigate the effects of the food crisis is the “Plant, Plant, Plant Program Part 2,” which was approved already by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Its objective is to put more food in every dining table and to strengthen the food production capabilities of the country.
Dar likewise called on the public to continue and strengthen their planting activities.
