Five suspects in series of carnapping activities in QC arrested

FIVE individuals tagged as suspects in a series of carnapping incidents involving motorcycles in Quezon City were arrested recently by the Philippine National Police (PNP).

According to Police Lt. Joseph Canlas, PCP-2 commander, the five suspects were arrested one after the other in Imus and General Trias, Cavite during follow-up operations.

It was learned that the suspects target motorcycles within the Galas, Quezon City area and then sold to buyers via postings on social media platforms such as Facebook.

The police were able to trace one motorcycle posted for sale on Facebook. Its location was then traced to Imus, Cavite and the vehicle was positively identified by its owner and confirmed that it was stolen.

A total of about 11 motorcycles were recovered from the suspects who now face carnapping charges.
