THE Manila City government launched its first ever Children’s Congress on Saturday, November 21, 2020.
The said event was held in conjunction with the 2020 National Children’s Month with the theme “Collectively Promoting the Rights of Every Child During the Pandemic Period.”
The Children’s congress was spearheaded by the City Department of Social Welfare (MDSW), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) -Manila Field Office and Manila Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC).
MDSW Director and MCPC Vice Chairperson Re Fugoso assured that the rights and welfare of every youth inside and outside the city will continue to gain specially in this time of pandemic.
“We also firmly believe that providing social services to them and their families should be the way to go so as to ensure a better future for our country at large,” Fugoso said.
