AROUND 46,252 families will receive food packs from the local government of Pandi in Bulacan under the local government’s “Silya Mo, Ilabas Mo, Heto Ayuda Mo” program.
The first day of distribution has started on the first day of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) with localized lockdown quarantine category in this province on Monday.
This is already the 11th time that the local government distributed aid to those affected since ECQ was implemented last March 2020 due to the global pandemic brought about by the Coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
It was learned that only the town of Pandi was able to make up to the 11th wave of aid distribution in its area, according to Pandi Mayor Enrico Roque.
The “Silya Mo Ilabas Mo, Heto Ayuda Mo” relief distribution style was already replicated throughout the country by other local government units (LGUs).
On Day 1 of the distribution, 1,478 families from Barangay Real De Cacarong were the first who received the food packs from the local government and the private sector.
“Hangga;t may pandemiya, may ayuda ang bawat pamilyang Pandienyo. Tayo ay iniluklok sa puwesto, ngayon ang panahon para sila ay suklian at ipadama sa kanila ang tapat at may pusong paglilingkod. Para sa kanila talaga yan,” said Roque.
The 9-day relief distribution will last until August 24 for 22 barangays.
Each food pack contains 3 kgs of rice, corned beef, coffee sachets, tuna, meatloaf, noodles and milk.
Roque added that standard health protocols were strictly enforced during the relief distribution.
