Enchanted Kingdom turns over adopted Kindergarten classrooms in 11th year of Brigada Eskwela support

Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the country’s first and only world-class theme park, marked its 11th year of participation in the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela program with the turnover of two newly refurbished kindergarten classrooms to Caingin Elementary School in Santa Rosa, Laguna. This initiative is part of EK’s School of Enchantment program, which aims to blend education and entertainment to provide unique and engaging learning experiences for young students.

Brigada Eskwela is DepEd’s nationwide school maintenance initiative that brings together education stakeholders—including parents, teachers, organizations, and private sector partners—to help prepare public schools in time for the new academic year. The 2025 theme is “Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa.”

Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, Enchanted Kingdom continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to nation-building through education. Since 2012, EK has adopted and renovated a total of 14 kindergarten classrooms in nearby communities, creating fun, safe, and imaginative learning environments for students.

The recent classroom enhancements at Caingin Elementary School included electrical and lighting upgrades, new furniture and shelving, and colorful murals featuring EK’s beloved characters and core values—painted by EK’s own visual artists. The park’s maintenance team led the structural improvements, underscoring the company’s hands-on approach to community support.

EK President and Chairman Cesar Mario Mamon emphasized the company’s continued dedication to education, stating,

“Education is vital in our future plans. We aim to provide an alternative classroom experience—so when students visit Enchanted Kingdom, they not only enjoy but also learn about different subjects in a meaningful way.”

In a recent meeting with Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara, Santa Rosa City Mayor Arlene Arcillas, and local education officials, EK reaffirmed its full support for DepEd’s programs and future initiatives.

The turnover ceremony was attended by Santa Rosa City Vice Mayor Arnold Arcillas; Schools Division Superintendent Hereberto Jose Miranda, CESO VI; Education Program Supervisor for Kindergarten and SPED Maribel De Vera; District Supervisor Soledad Baylon; Barangay Caingin Captain Edwin Servo; Caingin Elementary School Principal Guadalupe Factoriza; School PTA President Josephine Mandala; as well as teachers, parents, and students.

Through continued engagement in Brigada Eskwela and other educational programs, Enchanted Kingdom remains committed to creating magical spaces where learning and imagination go hand in hand.
