Employers urged to allow their workers to join Bayanihan, Bakunahan Part 4

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in an advisory, urged employers to allow their workers to participate in the Bayanihan, Bakunahan COVID-19 Vaccination Days , which started today up to March 12, 2022.

The advisory is for private sector employees who are due to receive their second dose and missed doses; individuals remaining under Priority Group A2; those in the health and economic sector who have yet to receive their booster doses; and those who will accompany their children during vaccination.

In Labor Advisory No. 05 series of 2022 signed by DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III, or the guidelines on the payment of wages for private sector employees covered in the National COVID-19 Vaccination Day (NVD), employers were encouraged by the DOLE to allow their employees to avail of the vaccination offered by the NVD, or accompany their children to be vaccinated without being considered as absent from work.

Also, the advisory calls for employees to be allowed by their company to utilize their available leave credits during the NVD, subject to company policy or collective bargaining agreement.
