AFTER being sidelined for over a week, President Rodrigo Duterte is set to go public again on Monday for his twice-deferred national address.
According to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, the President will resume his regular “Talk to the People” public address to quell questions on his capability to call the shots for the country following reports that he suffered a mild stroke.
Duterte missed two scheduled national addresses, a Cabinet meeting and the traditional Araw ng Kagitingan rites in what Palace officials claimed as a measure that would keep the President safe amid reports that had about 150 members of his elite security group infected with the deadly COVID-19 disease.
Prior to Roque’s statement, Duterte’s longtime aide and now Senator Bong Go released pictures of a busy President working on a pile of documents on his desk. The photo, however. drew flak from the meticulous netizens who spotted alterations.
This morning, Go released an eight-second video of his former boss jogging inside the Palace compound.
