THE Department of Health (DOH) officially welcomed back Dr. Teodoro “Ted” Herbosa, who was appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. as the new DOH Secretary.
Dr. Herbosa was the former Undersecretary of Health and National Task Force (NTF) for COVID-19 Adviser.
DOH Undersecretary Dr. Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, who served as Officer-in-Charge of the department, commits to provide all-out support to the new DOH chief during this transition. “Maasahan po ng ating bagong kalihim, Secretary Ted, ang taos-pusong suporta ng buong DOH family.”
For his part, Dr. Herbosa pledges to continuously usher Universal Health Care by sustaining gains, strengthening health sector strategy interventions, and introducing healthcare reforms.
The DOH family welcomed this development, as this is crucial in the Department’s operations. With this transition, the DOH ensures that healthcare services will remain unhampered.
