DPWH resumes repair works in EDSA, C5

THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume at 11 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2021, its road maintenance works along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C-5), Quezon City this weekend.

Citing reports from DPWH – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Eric Ayapana, Secretary Mark Villar said that the road rehabilitation activities will be undertaken along the northbound direction of EDSA near corner Kaingin Road.

Reblocking activities will also be done at the northbound section of C-5 Road starting from after C.P. Garcia, third lane from sidewalk; after Rajah Matanda, third lane from sidewalk; and after Highland Drive, second lane from sidewalk.

Under the implementation of DPWH Quezon City 2nd District Engineering Office, the road repair works was given clearance by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Due to expected temporary traffic slowdown in affected areas, motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes.

The affected road sections will reopen at 5 a.m., Monday, May 31, 2021.
