THE Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that a total of five fatalities have been reported already due to the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
According to DOH Spokesperson and Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, three of the fatalities were senior citizens and all have comorbidities.
One is partially vaccinated and one is unvaccinated while the other three are still being verified by the DOH.
The reported deaths came from the recent genome sequencing run.
“Tatlo (3) ang nadagdag .Total of 5 now,” according to the DOH.
