BINIGYAN ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ng hanggang Setyembre 30 ang mga online seller o ang mga nasa digital o electronic business transactions upang makapagparehistro ng kanilang negosyo.
Sa ipinalabas na Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 92-2020 ng BIR, pinalawig pa nito ang deadline mula nuong Setyembre 1 ay ginawang katapusan ng buwan.
Ayon sa ahensya, dumagsa rin ang mga magpaparehistro sa iba’t-ibang revenue district office nito para makahabol sa naunang itinakdang palugit.
“Considering this and the Bureau’s resource constraints at this time of quarantine protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline is further extended to September 30, 2020,” ayon sa BIR.
“All those already into digital or online transactions are advised to register their business activity on or before the stated date and no penalty shall be imposed for late registration,” dagdag nito.
Sakop ng direktiba ang lahat ng partner sellers o merchants, iba pang stakeholders tulad ng payment gateways, delivery channels, internet service providers, at iba pang facilitators.
“It is reminded that all those who will be found later doing business without complying with the registration/update requirements, and those who failed to declare past due taxes/unpaid taxes shall be imposed with the applicable penalties under the law, and existing revenue rules and regulations,” babala ng BIR.
