LOCAL policemen were tasked to closely coordinate with chief executives of local government units (LGUs) as to what documents should be presented at the Quarantine Control Points so travelers may be granted entry into provinces, cities or municipalities.

The directive was given by Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Guillermo Eleazar to all regional and provincial police offices.

Eleazar said.

Earlier, the national government said fully-vaccinated individuals only have to present their vaccination cards when they travel. However, the Department of Health (DOH) recently clarified that local government units can still ask for RT-PCR test results from visitors before they are allowed entry into the localities.

PGen. Eleazar said that the different government agencies and the IATF are still ironing out the policy. He also reminded the public to find out the existing rules on the localities they intend to visit to avoid further inconvenience.

Eleazar.
