ANGELES CITY, Philippines – Fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. recently reinforced its commitment to grassroots development by teaming up with socio-civic organizations for a comprehensive green initiative and medical mission serving the Aeta community in Sapangbato, Pampanga.
In a multi-pronged effort to create a “lasting, positive impact,” Converge collaborated with The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Kandili Chapter and the Inner Wheel Club of Taguig to address environmental, health, and livelihood needs in the region.
The day began at the Sapangbato Watershed, where volunteers sowed 300 fruit-bearing seedlings. This initiative serves a dual purpose by supporting the local government’s reforestation efforts to safeguard the watershed while simultaneously strengthening future livelihood opportunities for local farmers who will manage and harvest the trees.

This latest activity brings the company’s 2025 reforestation total to 4,700 seedlings planted in partnership with the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Angeles City.
After the planting, the focus shifted to the residents of Sitio Target. The Inner Wheel Club of Taguig led a medical mission that provided vital dental care and oral hygiene education to community members. Beyond these clinical services, the outreach included the distribution of hygiene kits, essential medicines, and vitamins. To further address the immediate needs of local families, Converge and the Philippine Eagles also provided grocery packs and garments.
“By working together with other organizations, we were able to do so much for the environment, for the people’s livelihoods, and also in promoting the health and well-being of the community, all in one meaningful effort,” according to Jay-Anne Encarnado, Converge VP and Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations.
This engagement builds on previous efforts, including a 1,000-seedling drive last year led by the company’s women’s leadership program, Grace Under Pressure: MentorSHE.” By integrating community service into its core sustainability strategy, Converge continues to leverage its resources to uplift marginalized sectors, proving that “connectivity” is about more than just high-speed internet—it’s about human connection and environmental stewardship.
