DEPARTMENT of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III stood firm on maintaining the use of face masks in the country.
Duque said that if the incoming Marcos administration were to seek his opinion, he would still recommend to continue the use of face masks.
He explained that this is not because of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country but as protection against other ailments.
These include ailments such as influenza, pneumonia, also against monkeypox and protection as well for those who have asthma.
