Coast Guard ships take part in resupply mission for BRP Sierra Made

TWO vessels of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) took part in the resupply mission of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for BRP Sierra Madre (LS-57) at the Ayungin Shoal .

According to the PCG, the BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV-9701) and the BRP Malapascua (MRRV-4403) were on guard to make sure that the M/V Unaiza Mae 2″ is protected, which is loaded with food, medicine, clothes, maintenance and repair equipment, and other needs of the soldiers deployed at the BRP Sierra Madre 

The BRP Teresa Magbanua also conducted maritime patrol and re-provisioning mission at Patag Island, Likaw Island, Lawak Island, and Pag-asa Island that is being guarded by PCG Station Kalayaan at Kalayaan, Palawan

The two ships also carried school supplies for the schoolchildren in Pag-asa Island as part of preparations for the coming school year.. 

The BRP Teresa Magbanua then proceeded to Puerto Princesa, Palawan to deliver relief packs, boxes of medicine, hospital beds, medical equipment, and for other needs provided by the government. 

Meanwhile, the PCG District Palawan, PCG K9 unit in Palawan, and the 3rd Marine Brigade also received additional supplies.
