Classes in public schools suspended from May 2-13 due to May 9 polls — DepEd

THE Department of Education (DepEd) announced that there will be no classes in all public schools in all levels from May 2-13, 2022 due to the May 9 national and local polls.

The dates mentioned will be allotted for use for national elections-related activities of teachers and DepEd personnel, as per DepEd Order No. 29, s. 2021.

However, the DepEd explained that the teachers are still expected to report to their respective schools on days where there are no election-related duties or activities.

Meanwhile, DepEd also released telephone numbers that the public may call for questions or clarifications, or via the DepEd Public Assistance and Action Center at (02) 8636-1663 and 8633-1942.
