Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III, US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires John Law, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director Lawrence Hardy II, and USAID Office of Health Director Michelle Lang-Ali visited recently the COVID-19 vaccination site located at the Buena Park Clubhouse and Gymnasium in Caloocan City.


The team was welcomed by Caloocan City government officials led by City Administrator Engr. Oliver Hernandez and City Health Officer Dr. Evelyn Cuevas.
Currently, the city government of Caloocan has a total of 12 vaccination sites spread across the city. These sites are capable of administering an average of 3,600 jabs per day. Vaccination output will increase as the bulk of the vaccines come in.

Secretary Duque expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the US Embassy and USAID for the support to the DOH in its fight against COVID-19. The US government provided Php 170 million to support the COVID-19 vaccine deployment.
