THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) for Bicol region approved a P55-daily wage increase for minimum wage earners in the region.
The increase, the wage board said, will be given in two tranches–P35 for the first tranche once the wage order becomes effective, and P20 for the second tranche starting December 1.
Once the wage order becomes effect, the minimum wage rate for Region 5 will now be at P365.
The RTWPB Bicol region also approved a P1,000 to P1,500 increased wages for domestic workers, which means their monthly wages will now be a P4,000 per month.
The RTWPB Bicol region wage order will be submitted to the National Wages and Productivity Commission Region, and will be implemented 15 days after publication in a newspaper of regional circulation.
