Ateneo de Manila climbs in QS Asia University Rankings

ATENEO de Manila University (ADMU), one of the country’s leading learning institutions, gained significant headway in the latest edition of the QS Asia University Rankings.

For the 2022 edition of the rankings, Ateneo placed 124th in the 2022 edition released last November 2, 2021. This is 11 spots higher from the university’s rank in the 2021 edition, where it ranked 135.

Ateneo was also ranked at 124 in the 2020 edition.

Ateneo is the second highest-ranked Philippine institution in this year’s ranking, and the top private Filipino university.

QS ranks institutions based on 11 key indicators: academic reputation; employer reputation; faculty and student statistics; research output; and linkages. Ateneo garnered an overall score of 36.9, and had its highest score in Employer Reputation at 69.6.

Since 2013, Ateneo de Manila has consistently ranked in the top institutions in Asia according to QS. Its highest QS Asia rank so far was 95th place in 2018.

This year’s Asia rankings include a total of 687 institutions. Two other Jesuit institutions, Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) and Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan (XU), were included in this year’s QS Asia University rankings. ADDU is in the 501-550 bracket, while XU is in the 601-650 bracket.

Globally, Ateneo de Manila is ranked in the 601-650 bracket of the most recent QS World University Rankings.
