Free Health Checks for Olongapo Teachers

OLONGAPO CITY — Public school teachers in Olongapo City are receiving free annual physical examinations under a health program initiated by Zambales 1st District Rep. and Deputy Speaker Jay Khonghun.

The free Annual Physical Examination (APE) was launched following a request from the Schools Division Office of Olongapo, led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Imelda Macaspac.

The program aims to monitor the health of public school teachers and help detect possible medical conditions early, allowing them to continue performing their duties in schools effectively.

Khonghun underscored the importance of protecting teachers’ health, noting their vital role in educating, guiding, and shaping thousands of students in the city.

He said teachers who dedicate themselves to developing young Filipinos should also have access to adequate healthcare support and preventive medical services.

Khonghun’s office said health programs and other public services will continue to be extended to teachers and residents of Olongapo City and other areas in Zambales’ 1st District.
