DJI has launched the Osmo 360 II in the Philippines, introducing its latest 360-degree action camera with a new 1-inch square HDR sensor, 8K/60fps video recording, replaceable lenses and 105GB of built-in storage.
The Osmo 360 II builds on DJI’s experience across its drone, Ronin gimbal and Osmo Action product lines, as well as technologies developed for the original Osmo 360 and the Avata 360.
At the center of the new camera is what DJI describes as the industry’s first advanced 1-inch square HDR image sensor for a 360-degree camera. According to the company, the square design increases sensor utilization by 25% compared with conventional rectangular sensors while reducing power consumption.
The camera offers up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range and incorporates DJI’s AI SuperNight 2.0 noise-reduction technology for improved low-light recording. Its large 2.4-micrometer pixels and upgraded processing hardware enable 8K/60fps 360-degree video, including during fast-moving action.
DJI is positioning the Osmo 360 II for activities ranging from motorcycling and cycling to skiing, diving and vlogging. The camera is waterproof to a depth of 10 meters without an additional housing and can reach depths of up to 50 meters when used with DJI’s Invisible Waterproof Case. It is also designed to operate at temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
For action shooting, the camera supports gesture and voice controls, stabilization and DJI’s Sports Dashboard overlay. Users can also pair it with the company’s 2.5-meter Extended Carbon Fiber Selfie Stick for elevated perspectives.
Among the Osmo 360 II’s imaging features are 120-megapixel HDR 360-degree photos, 16K 360-degree timelapse recording and an 8K/120fps Vortex mode. DJI Studio can also use AI frame interpolation to produce up to 64x panoramic slow-motion footage, which the company says is equivalent to cropped 8K/480fps video.
All video formats support 10-bit color, while DJI’s D-Log M color profile is available for users who want greater flexibility during post-production.
The camera also introduces Spotlight Follow, which automatically tracks a subject and keeps it centered as the camera rotates, reducing the need to manually reframe 360-degree footage afterward.
DJI has added NFC connectivity to simplify pairing with the DJI Mimo mobile app. Users can tap their devices to connect to the camera, transfer footage or proceed directly to editing. DJI Studio-exported 360-degree videos can also be imported into DaVinci Resolve through a plugin for professional editing workflows.
Another significant hardware change is the introduction of replaceable lenses. Both lenses use an ultra-hard optical film designed to improve scratch and wear resistance, while damaged lenses can be individually replaced instead of requiring replacement of the entire camera.
The Osmo 360 II weighs 183 grams and comes with 105GB of internal storage. DJI says its battery can provide up to 100 minutes of continuous 8K/30fps recording and can recharge to 80 percent in 22 minutes. An optional Battery Extension Rod can add up to 180 minutes of operating time.
For audio, the camera uses a four-microphone array with built-in wind-noise reduction. It also supports DJI’s OsmoAudio Direct Microphone Connection and is compatible with several of the company’s wireless microphone systems, including the DJI Mic 3, Mic 2 and Mic Mini series.
A dual-direction magnetic quick-release system allows accessories to be mounted on either side of the camera, while a standard 1/4-inch thread provides compatibility with conventional camera equipment.
Philippine Pricing and Availability
The DJI Osmo 360 II is now available in the Philippines, with the Standard Combo priced at P32,490, the Adventure Combo at P39,490, and the Limitless Riding Combo at P34,490.
DJI is also offering several accessories separately, including the Osmo 360 II Lens Replacement Kit at P1,190 for a single lens or P1,890 for a dual kit; Multifunctional Battery Case 3 at P3,299; 1.2-meter Dual-Direction Quick-Release Invisible Selfie Stick Kit at P2,149; Battery Extension Rod at P5,590; Action Dual-Direction Battery Handle at P4,869; and Extreme Battery Plus at P1,720.
DJI Care Refresh is also available for the Osmo 360 II, providing replacement coverage for accidental damage, including collisions, water damage and normal wear. The one-year plan provides up to two replacements, while the two-year plan provides up to four.
The Osmo 360 II is available in the Philippine market starting today.
