“Akay ni Sol” Mobile Botika rolls out free medicines, medical aid across Laguna towns

LAGUNA — The “Akay ni Sol Mobile Botika,” a flagship initiative under Governor Sol Aragones’ Gobyernong May Solusyon platform, officially kicked off today, delivering free medical assistance and essential medicines to residents in four municipalities in Laguna.

The program’s first stop was in Barangay Banay-Banay, Katapatan Village, Cabuyao, where the local basketball court was filled with residents eager to receive free medical support.

The turnout was overwhelming, reflecting the strong demand for accessible healthcare in the area.

Among the early beneficiaries was Nanay Reming, a senior citizen residing in the barangay. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Aragones for bringing the much-needed medical aid directly to the community.

“Maraming maraming salamat po kay Gob Sol Aragones. Dahil sa programang ito, natutulungan kami sa araw-araw naming pangangailangan sa gamot,” said Nanay Reming.

“Sana po ay magpatuloy ang ganitong klaseng pagtulong, lalo na sa aming matatanda na labis na nangangailangan ng serbisyong medikal at gamot.” she added.

The mobile botika is set to benefit over 2,000 Lagunenses in its initial run. After Cabuyao, the program will continue in the following areas:

San Pedro: Amarillo Street, Sibulog 1 Subdivision, Barangay Nueva

Nagcarlan: Municipal Gymnasium, Poblacion 2

Sta. Cruz: (Location details pending)

Operations in each site run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, ensuring timely and efficient distribution.

Aside from the free medicine, attendees also enjoyed complimentary lugaw (rice porridge) while waiting in line — a simple gesture that added warmth to the community outreach.

Governor Aragones extended her appreciation to the medical teams, volunteers, and local government partners who made the event possible.

She also thanked the residents for their enthusiastic support of the province’s first-ever Mobile Botika medical mission.

“This is only the beginning,” Aragones said. “We will continue to bring accessible, reliable healthcare solutions to every corner of Laguna. Serbisyong may puso at may aksyon — that’s our promise.”
