INCOMING Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said he will not hesitate to remove department heads and bureau chiefs who committed abuses in the performance of their duties.
On the other hand, those department and bureau chiefs who served the Manila City Hall well will remain in their posts.
He warned that those who abused in their duties and committed lapses in their leadership, aside from making the citizens of Manila suffer even more, will be dealt with.
He likewise clarified that career service officials who passed the standards will not lose their jobs.
According to Domagoso, they may be transferred to a different office or department where their skills will be put to good use since they have security of tenure under the Civil Service Law.
His warnings came amid the discovery of secrets and other shenanigans a few weeks even before he officially sits as the new mayor of Manila.
He also promised that the moment he sits as Mayor of Manila, the city’s citizens will notice big changes within the first 100 days of his tenure.
