Subic Bay Freeport Zone – The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and Subic Water and Sewerage Company, Inc. formally signed today the 3rd Amendment to the Franchise Agreement and the 4th Amendment to the Lease Agreement in a ceremonial event held at the SBMA Corporate Board Room, Building 229, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
The signing was spearheaded by Mayor Atty. Rolen C. Paulino Jr., alongside SBMA Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño, and key executives from both SBMA and Subic Water. The occasion reaffirmed the shared commitment of both parties to further enhance the delivery of water and sewerage services within the Freeport.
“This is a significant step to ensure that residents and businesses in the Freeport Zone continue to enjoy reliable and high-quality water and sewerage services,” Chairman Aliño remarked. “It also reflects the strong and productive partnership between SBMA and Subic Water, which we hope to further strengthen in the coming years.”
Mayor Paulino Jr. also highlighted the critical role of the agreement in supporting the Freeport’s growing demand: “Through this agreement, we anticipate substantial improvements and expansion of Subic’s water and sewerage systems, especially as more businesses invest and operate within the Freeport.”
According to Subic Water officials, the newly signed amendments provide for the expansion of infrastructure, modernization of facilities, and enhancement of customer service to meet the increasing needs of Freeport locators, residents, and stakeholders.
Subic Water and Sewerage Company, Inc. has been the primary provider of water and sewerage services in the Freeport Zone, serving various commercial, industrial, and residential clients.
At the close of the event, both parties expressed confidence that the strengthened collaboration will further contribute to the sustainable growth and development of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
