A video showing personnel from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) allegedly mishandling a motorcycle rider at a checkpoint in the Visayas region has gone viral on social media, sparking public outrage.
The footage, widely shared online, captures LTO officers forcefully restraining the unidentified rider, who was reportedly carrying two knives. According to the rider, the knives were intended for household use and not for any unlawful purpose.

Netizens have criticized the handling of the situation, questioning whether the LTO officers used excessive force. The incident took place at a routine checkpoint, where the personnel were monitoring vehicles in the area.
As of now, LTO officials have yet to release an official statement regarding the matter. However, calls for an investigation into the officers’ conduct have intensified, with many urging authorities to ensure that proper protocols are followed in law enforcement operations.
