Bank security officer in Subic Freeport allegedly takes own life using Borrowed firearm

A civilian security officer of Banco De Oro (BDO) allegedly shot himself this afternoon using a borrowed .38 revolver along Argonaut Highway in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

According to a colleague’s account, they were resting inside their armored vehicle when the victim knocked and requested to borrow the firearm, claiming it was to inspect a gun being offered for sale.

While examining the revolver, the victim reportedly pointed it at his abdomen and fired without warning.

The lifeless body of the victim was found outside the armored vehicle, prompting his colleagues to immediately alert authorities.

Police are conducting further investigations to determine if foul play was involved in the incident.
