On Christmas Eve, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) announced the arrest of a “notorious serial killer” in Donsol, Sorsogon.
The suspect, identified as “Michael,” has been linked to multiple heinous crimes and is listed as the 6th most wanted person in Region 4A.
According to the CIDG, Michael was implicated in the stabbing death of “Domingo,” a resident of Barangay Bucandala III in Imus City, Cavite, on November 2, 2015. The incident reportedly stemmed from a heated argument during a drinking spree.
He is also the primary suspect in the brutal killing of “Elisio” in San Ramon, Donsol, Sorsogon, on September 11, 2012. In that case, Michael and an accomplice allegedly broke into the victim’s bedroom, stabbing him multiple times and slashing his neck.
More recently, on October 15, 2023, Michael was allegedly involved in the fatal stabbing and throat slashing of two individuals in Barangay Alapan 1A, Imus, Cavite. Authorities reported that the victims were attacked without provocation while sitting outside their home.
After years of evading authorities, Michael went into hiding in his hometown of Donsol, where he was eventually apprehended.
The CIDG stated that the arrest marks a significant breakthrough in their pursuit of justice for the victims of these heinous crimes.
