THE Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed on Wednesday that a court has ordered the transfer of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), to Pasig City Jail.
During a press briefing, PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo revealed that the Pasig court issued the order on November 22.
Quiboloy, who refers to himself as the “Son of God,” is facing a non-bailable charge of qualified human trafficking under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended.
The case is being handled by a Pasig court, further intensifying legal challenges against the controversial religious leader.
Quiboloy has long been a polarizing figure, with his claims of divinity and allegations of abuse drawing national and international attention.
His transfer to Pasig City Jail signals a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings against him.
