Led by the Chairman and CEO of Aclan Group of Companies (AGC), John Paul Aclan together with the City Police Chief of Muntinlupa, Col. Angel Garcillano 15 policemen of Muntinlupa were given a recognition for their outstanding service in the city last March 31, 2023. The said award was called the “AGC Honest Cop Award” as it aims to preserve the trust of the civilians in our policemen.
Awardees were given a plaque and a customized unique pin by AGC so that it will be easy to recognize that a cop was awarded as an Honest Cop. At the same time, JP Aclan encourages more policemen to serve with integrity to make the municipality of Muntinlupa a better and safe place. “Dito po sa Muntinlupa may mga pulis po tayo na kapag ating sinumbungan at kayo po ay nabiktima ay talaga naman po syang tutulong sa inyo. At ito po ang essence ng Honest Cop Award at gusto ko pong mapadami pa ang mga pulis na kabilanh dito.”
There are also benefits that the AGC gave to the policemen of Muntinlupa such as free medical services where everything is covered by one of the companies under AGC. Aclan also gave them free lawsuit assistance whenever cops needed it.
As reported by Col. Garcillano, most of the awardees are the policemen who surrendered stolen or lost money, was engaged in drug operations and those in duties that encounter life and death situation. During the ceremony, some of the awardees were not able to get their plaque and pin as they are still in line with their duties. The said event is being held every month in recognition of the exemplary uniformed policemen.
