Courts in the NCR, 38 other areas under Alert Level 1 to be fully operational starting tomorrow

THE courts in the National Capital Region (NCR) and 38 other areas in the country under COVID-19 Alert Level 1 will be 100-percent operational starting tomorrow.

In a Circular released by the Supreme Court, all officials and employees of courts will report for work physically on-site starting 8 am up to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Fully operational work in courts in areas under Alert Level 1 such as the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals in Manila, Sandiganbayan and Court of Tax Appeals will be effective until March 15.

However, Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo said that offices in the Supreme Court with limited space will only operate at 80-percent capacity or physical reporting of work of employees.

Included are the office of the Clerk of Court, Philippine Judicial Academy, Judicial Records Office, and legal office of the Office of the Court Administrator.

Strict health protocols will also be observed for those who will work onsite, and they should not have any symptoms of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the operating capacity of courts in areas under Alert Level 2 will operate at 80-percent capacity.
