A TOP Palace official warned that the law will catch up with those found to have violated COVID-19 quarantine protocols.
The stern warning was issued by acting presidential spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, in light of the Filipino who returned from the United States and violated quarantine protocols after allegedly leaving her quarantine hotel in Makati City for the mandated seven-day facility quarantine period.
“We will not hesitate to prosecute those who are violating the law. We won’t let this go. This is a public health emergency,” Nograles said.
“You cannot let this go. It is important to follow the law for everybody’s protection and safety. Let us not think we can get away with it,” the official added.
What made it worse was that the person even bragged about her connections that’s why she was able to breach quarantine protocols, says Department of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Puyat.
“Make no mistake: Anyone who violates the law will catch up to you. Don’t try to break the rules, please,” Nograles warned.
