Quarantine violators at more than 100,000 since NCR was placed under Alert Level 3

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) reported that there are already more than 100,000 quarantine violators in the National Capital Region (NCR) after it was placed under Alert Level 3.

From October 16 to October 27, about 113,602 people violated health protocols amid the imposition of Alert Level 3 in the NCR.

Based on data from the PNP Command Center, 10,932 new violators were recorded while the daily average of violators in the NCR was at 9,467.

Among those who violated the alert level system, 57 percent were cited, 36 percent were fined and 7 percent were meted with other penalties.

A total of 84,819 individuals did not follow the minimum public health standards, while 28,171 violated curfew hours and 612 non-APOR (Authorized Persons Outside of Residence) went out of their houses.

The NCR will be on Alert Level 3 up to October 31, 2021.
